University of Pittsburgh Psych Mental Health Nursing Faculty - Full-Time Non-Tenure Stream in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is looking for qualified applicants for a full-time non-tenure stream faculty in psychiatric mental health nursing.

Faculty members are employees of the University and receive dedicated time and resources to perform scholarly work, travel to present their work at professional conferences, and opportunities to pursue specialty certification and faculty practice. Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for these non-tenure stream faculty positions include an earned doctorate DNP or PhD and RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Assistant Professor -- A An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. B Evidence of or potential for excellence in clinical and/or classroom teaching. C Demonstrated expertise in area of nursing or expertise in a related substantive area. D Evidence of potential to produce scholarly work.

Associate Professor -- A An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. B Evidence of excellence as a teacher. C Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, or any other validating material. D Expertise recognized at the national/international level.

Professor -- A An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. B Evidence of sustained excellence as a teacher classroom and/or clinical. C Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, or any other validating material. D Expertise recognized at the national/international level as has sustained knowledge and reputation in an area of specialty. E Demonstrates sustained commitment to community services related in professional expertise.

Desired Qualifications: We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate the potential for scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse students.
