Robert Half Risk Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is hiring for a large downtown Pittsburgh bank. This hybrid position offers the potential to become permanent, with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. The Analyst will be part of the Risk Management team, interacting with different departments across the bank. Key responsibilities include managing the bank’s operating incident reviews, records management, insurance programs, and conducting risk assessments. The role also involves preparing and presenting risk reports to the Operational Risk Management Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operating incident program, analyze control breakdowns, identify root causes, and propose solutions to mitigate risks. Present findings to relevant committees.

  • Oversee records management and insurance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and working with third-party providers.

  • Assist in conducting bank-wide risk assessments and provide reports to management. Lead discussions on complex risks and offer judgments on their severity.

  • Provide guidance to internal teams on risk-related tasks and assess their needs.

  • Offer independent evaluations of business unit decisions and communicate findings to senior executives and committees.

  • Manage communication with regulators on incidents, records management, and risk assessments. Ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Effectively communicate findings through written reports and presentations to senior bank executives and committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in risk management or internal audit (preferably in financial services)

  • Experience with risk assessments and internal controls

  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills

  • Proficiency in GRC software and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Attention to detail
