Industrial Scientific has an immediate opening for a Credit & Collections Analyst. This position is for a driven candidate looking for an opportunity to grow their career within the field of Credit and Collections.
The Senior Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible for the full account management of an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, including, risk and financial reviews, collections, follow-up calls, releasing credit holds, research and analysis to resolve payment discrepancies and dispute resolution, analytical and forecasting reporting and partner with the sales team to improve cash flow enabling the company to grow and expand.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Perform credit investigations to produce a recommendation after undertaking a thorough analysis of a variety of factors and careful analysis of a client's financial information, including income statements, cash flow history, current debt, and tax forms.
Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process, and review account adjustments, resolve customer discrepancies, and short payments
Must communicate and follow-up effectively with Sales and Customer Service Department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
Create KPIs Metrics and Forecasting Reports for the department
Work with peers to create efficiencies for the department and company though continual improvement of processes to promote department and company practices.
Ensures compliance with established accounting policies and procedures relate to the daily operations.
Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required by the Credit management team
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
1-2 years credit and collections experience
Strong analytical and decision-making skills and must be able to set priorities and work within time constrains
Strong phone, interpersonal, verbal, and written capabilities
Strong ethics and work as an effective, collaborative team member
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Energetic, detailed oriented, able to adhere deadlines on a timely manner
Provides subject matter guidance to more junior team member
Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite preferred
