Summary:

Responsible for the provisioning of any IT development, analysis, Information management (DBA), or QA requiring specialized knowledge of a niche technology.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modify existing databases and database management systems.

• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.

• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.

• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.

• Knowledge of XML, Java, JSP and other relevant software.

• Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.

Education/Experience:

• High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/software engineering/relevant field or equivalent work experience required.

• 4-5 years experience required.

The Security Assessment team contains an engineering function responsible for the design, oversight of build and delivery of an operational process and associated solution to execute cross-functional services required of the Security Policy, Governance and Assessment services. We are seeking a developer resource to support the Policy, Governance, and Assessment process engineering team in the development & maintenance of personal productivity applications built on the Microsoft power platform for security capabilities (Audit Locker, CRI Profile Assessment, Etc.). The developer should be familiar with developing capabilities using the Microsoft power platform including power apps, power automate, SharePoint, OneDrive, power BI, etc. and with using platforms like Jira for work management and Confluence for collaboration. Additional experience in scripting and application program interface (API) integrations will be useful.

Position Title: Specialty Software Engineer

Position Location: Hybrid - tech hubs- 1st preference Pittsburgh or Strongsville.

Ability to work remote: Hybrid

Acceptable time zone(s): Central/Eastern

Working Hours (Flexible): Flex 8-5pm ET

Travel: No

Provide locations/flexible work by preference: 1st preference Pittsburgh or Strongsville/Cleveland. 2nd Remaining Tech Hubs- Birmingham, Dallas, Phoenix.

    Must Have Technical Skills:

    Collaboration with process leads, documentation - writing user instructions, maintenance guides..etc, and strong independent work as a developer.
