JOB TITLE : DIRECT SUPPORT PERSONNEL
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much respected facility in Western MA who is currently seeking Direct Support Personnel to assist them at a Day Habilitation Center.
Details of the position include:
Location: Berkshire County (see schedules and locations below)
Duration: 13 weeks to start, but strong chance of extension
Facility Type: Day Habilitation Center for patients with Developmental Disabilities
Openings:
3p-11p (North Adams)
3p-11p (Adams)
11p-7a (North Adams)
11p-7a (Clarksburg)
Mon-Fri, and E/O weekend
Start Date: Two weeks from offer
BLS, TB, Physical, Fingerprints
*Covid vax NOT required
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Develop rapport with individuals supported and foster their personal growth striving to obtain their goals
Provide and maintain safe home environment
Plan, implement and document teaching plans/strategies
QUALIFICATIONS: Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement.
