GeneralSummary….

The Field Support Specialist provides expert supportservices in the field to internal customers and end-users. They use analytical thinking to troubleshoottechnical issues and provide business solutions to resolve them.

This position will beresponsible for…..

  • Subject matter expertfor the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of any/all PCs/Laptops,other endpoint hardware, software and operating systems.

  • Liaison betweenbusiness customers, operations and the Field support group.

  • Perform softwareinventory and distribution (update/patch deployment).

  • Evaluate newinformation system products and services.

  • Suggest changes toexisting products/services to better assist end users.

  • Resolve all technicalmatters to meet customer service level agreements.

  • Provides guidance toless experienced personnel.

  • Maintain the integrity,security, performance and availability of endpoint systems.

  • Deliver technicalassistance for computer related software and peripherals.

  • Works under little tono supervision.

  • Meet withManagement/participate in special projects, as required.

  • Performs complextasks/multi-tasks.

  • Other duties asassigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 6 years of relevant experience.

  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experienced in desktop support, printers and scanners.

  • Preferred experience: SQL, WMS (Manhattan or any).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Customer service driven

  • Strong team player

  • Able to demonstrate an advanced understanding in the following areas: Personal/Laptop Computers & related OS & software/hardware/ peripherals (including printers); Personal/Laptop Computer repair; Computer imaging concepts/ practices; Computer/System management products/tools (Dell KACE); Mobile devices - iPhone, iPad and Blackberry & associated OS; McAfee Antivirus (and related concepts/tools), Malware/ Spyware removal concepts/tools.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, work instructions, process maps and/or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of internal and external customers.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Basic understanding of and willingness to learn and adopt professional and industry standards.

** Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education/training and a candidate’s work experience.

Pay Range: 20.48 (Min) - 29.67 (Mid) - 38.85 (Max) Hourly
