TEKsystems OSP Project Manager in Plainfield, New Jersey

Description:

 The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for performing

site walks/surveys with the construction vendor, estimating costs, and

submitting the package internally for approval. Once approved, the vendor will

start the work. The PM will manage the ongoing work, oversee material delivery,

verify testing, ensure the vendor builds according to the scope, and report on

the project status.

  • Track vendor project progress through Project Management database and project tracking report spreadsheets.

  • Hold progress meetings with vendors to ensure they are staying on build schedule and forecast completion dates

  • Track vendor material requests and warehouse orders

  • Track vendor FTTH testing and as-built submissions

  • Site quality control inspections to ensure vendor is building to design specifications

  • Work with vendor to mitigate any FTTH design and/or construction issues that are found in field during project build. Escalating issues to applicable departments.

  • Respond to customer/property management complaints from vendor activity

  • Provide Quality Control of job design prior to issuing to contractors to assure job is correct.

  • Monitor Status of construction jobs to ensure project milestone intervals are met

  • Construction Coordinator will utilize Workfront project management system to update project results

  • Perform QC on completed jobs and verify as-builts

  • Perform QC on production reports and invoices to confirm proper billing

  • Financial and Resource-Based Reporting: for materials and project cost estimates

  • Project Financial Report: Budget Burn-Down Report

  • Consolidated Invoicing Report- will need to approve invoices from the construction vendor based on work completed
