This position is based in Plano, TX, with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work.

Who we’re looking for:

The Information Security Engineer is a subject matter expert within the Cyber Security Architecture team who leverages their security expertise and experience to lead design decisions, implement countermeasures, and deliver security technologies for use by TFS Security Teams around the world. This role will interact and collaborate with business and security stakeholders to solve complex issues, meet requirements, and improve the quality of the Security Platforms. Technologies that this role will be responsible for are Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration and Automation (SOAR), and more. Guiding other cross-functional engineers on the team, this engineering role will lead the path to deliver solutions following Agile/SCRUM practices.

This individual will be a self-directing, organized, and effective communicator (verbal and written) who can transfer business and stakeholder requirements into a usable and efficient solution. The individual is expected to perform safe and detailed security testing, use best practice approaches for solution designs, and document and train peers and/or recipients to effectively use/maintain the solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and maintain SIEM and other Security Platform.

  • Provide recommendations to Cyber Engineering management and stakeholders to create achievable and realistic deliverables

  • Support Cyber Engineering management in the prioritization of security tools feature(s) and enhancement(s) backlog

  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and user story refinement

  • Maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI

  • Collaborate with BISOs, Security Architects, Service Recipients, and stakeholders, to identify and manage cross-impacts for security technology decisions

  • Research and analyze the market, the users, and the roadmap for the current and future security products being delivered

  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers, as necessary, for service and technology delivery

  • Participate in complex problem activities

  • Prioritize response and remediation for emerging issues and risks

  • Collaborate with Service Recipients and stakeholders to understand business pain points, their impacts, root causes, business needs, and solution realistic outcomes

What you bring:

  • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required

  • progressive, broad-based Information Security experience administering and engineering security solutions

  • Deep working knowledge of administration and configuration of Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) software

Added bonus if you have

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent

  • Deep working knowledge of engineering and configuration of the following: --Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) software --Log Collection/Extract Transform Load (ETL) software --User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) software --Security Orchestration & Automated Response (SOAR) software

  • Experience with Agile collaboration and task management tools (e.g., Jira)

  • Knowledge of Financial Services and/or Insurance industry
