JPMorgan Chase J.P. Morgan Wealth Management - Vice President, Financial Planning Consultant in Plano, Texas

The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (USWM) business is focused on helping investors achieve their long-term financial goals and is comprised of the Chase wealth management business, J.P. Morgan Advisors, Personal Advisors and Self-Directed - our digital investing platform. The combined business has $600 billion in Assets Under Management and 5,000 advisors located across 3,500 branches and 20 offices.

As a Financial Planning Consultant, you will deliver end-to-end goals-based planning expertise to our internal clients and partners. The Financial Planning team is centrally located and supports financial advisors, market leaders across all channels, on the planning process and tools. You will lead firm wide training and advisor development initiatives on Goals-Based Planning. This includes content development and delivery. Team partners and collaborates with key business partners across the firm including our Wealth Strategists, Practice Management Consultants, Wealth Planning & Advice and Investment Solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Expert knowledge on the Goals-Based Analysis Tools

  • Deliver first-class level of service by responding to incoming inquiries from financial advisors on the goals-based planning process and financial planning tools (Goals-Based Analysis & proprietary planning software)

  • Understand the suite of solutions available at JPMorgan Wealth Management with a specific focus on how they best align with the client's goals

  • Work closely with field partners to form a dynamic partnership to support advisor adoption and integration of Goals-Based planning and utilization of planning tools.

  • Create and deliver goals-based planning content for advisor training and development

  • Prepare and coach Financial Advisors for client conversations by evaluating the client's analysis and role-playing possible scenarios and strategies

  • Leverage sales experience to coach Financial Advisors on how to appropriately profile from a Goals-Based perspective, overcome objections and deliver appropriate solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry or at least 3 years in direct financial planning experience

  • Series 7 & 66 along with Life and Health Insurance Licenses required

  • CFP designation required. Similar professional designations will be considered.

  • Prior experience working with financial planning software

  • Strong phone skills, with ability to handle high volume inbound inquiries

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to work within a team and thrive in a highly visible and fast paced work environment

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing or Training a plus
