JPMorgan Chase Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack Developer in Plano, Texas

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Security Services Tech team, you play a crucial role in an agile team that is dedicated to improving, constructing, and delivering top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on the business through your skills and contributions, utilizing your extensive technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities:

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.

  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others

  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

  • Demonstrated proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.

  • Provides Support in automating deployments through production release cycles and provide troubleshooting for L3 support work.

  • Interact with front and middle office teams and other business users in providing support/solutions for client queries or productions incidents.

  • Analyze production issues and document RCA and issue-corrective actions in line with LOB standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Java/Microservices

  • Experience in Rest UI and other JavaScript framework is required.

  • Experience in Oracle SQL or other RDMS is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

  • Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Expert experience with design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment

  • Strong hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (Spring Boot or equivalent framework)

  • Experience with Message broker platforms (Kafka is a plus)

  • In depth knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture (AWS Experience is a plus), Microservice Architecture and related stacks, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
