Responsible for the direct supervision of scheduling agents, management of available resources and the prioritization of tasks. Manages daily operations including, but not limited to, Meditech maintenance, staff education and evaluation, customer service initiatives, call center equipment, process improvement, and development of departmental policy and procedures. * Coordination/integration of department services with the hospital’s primary function: develop/implementation of policies/procedures that guide/support the provision of services. * Maintain sufficient number of staff to provide department services. * Assure qualifications/competence of personnel. * Maintain, assess & improve department’s performance. * Develop & maintain scheduling module in meditech. * Enforces compliance with personnel policies, incorporating counseling and administrative actions as necessary. * Makes independent decisions/ judgment call in the absence of established policies, routines or regulations. * Provides strong leadership to staff by serving as a professional role model. * Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.

  • High School diploma/GED, Minimum 1 year Secondary Education
  • Medical Assistant, LVN or RN preferred
  • 1 year hospital experience in Case Management/UR or scheduling environment
