Fast-paced, high volume Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?
Work location : Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093
Work hours : Full Time Days
Medical Surgical Department highlights :
22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
1:5 RN: patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts
Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
Here’s What You Need:
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
BSN preferred
2 Years’ experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) Required
RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
