Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture - (People Tech)

People Tech is leading the way in delivering delightful, consumer-grade experiences for our Human Resource teams. As a Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture on the team, you will be contributing to the architect efforts using a variety of technologies to deliver amazing product features that align with our strategic vision for our candidate and associate experiences.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for designing and implementing critical technology solutions which span a wide number of platforms. In addition to working with an integrated businesses, technology and operations team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to architecture across broader IFX and Enterprise teams, which are tightly integrated throughout some solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead solutions architecture design for multi-platform/cross-platform solutions

• Leading Trade-off and impact analysis work for hard to change technical decisions, and manage technical conflict

• Demonstrate thought leadership and strategy in partnership with delivery and product partners

• Explain and represent solutions in the Architecture Review Boards, and various product, platform and architecture discussions

• Presenting work products and strategies to product managers, technology leadership across Capital One

• Function as a primary architecture point of contact for other architecture teams & and delivery teams for solutions and systems

• Continuously learn as technology needs evolve

• Possess a keen attention to detail and a passion for Architecture, Software Engineering, Technology and Customer Experience

• Have an intellectual curiosity and interest to maintain and acquire new business, technology and architecture skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• At least 8 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design

• At least 2 years of experience creating solutions architectures in a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

• At least 3 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology

• 4+ years of people management experience

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering

• 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in large/complex organizations

• 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and/or delivering delivering scalable and decoupled systems in a heavily regulated technology environment

• 4+ years of experience working with internal and external business clients

• 4+ years of experience with AWS concepts and implementations
