Community Hospital Corporation Strategic Account Director of Supply Chain - Facility Dedicated in Plano, Texas

Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), a DFW Top 100 Employer, is looking for a Strategic Account Director of Supply Chain - Facility Dedicated based out of our home office in Plano, TX. The Strategic Account Director is a pivotal role that drives supply chain excellence and strategic partnerships within a single, dedicated facility.

This position leads the development and execution of facility-specific supply chain strategies, oversees key vendor relationships, spearheads GPO compliance and contract management, and fosters operational efficiency within the assigned facility. The Strategic Account Director also plays a crucial role in team leadership and development, data analysis, and driving cost savings initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account & Hospital Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and suppliers specific to the dedicated facility.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the facility, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and develop strategic alliances that benefit the facility.

  • GPO & Contract Management:

  • Spearhead GPO compliance and conversion initiatives to maximize cost savings within the facility.

  • Develop and implement processes to measure and track GPO compliance and contract adherence within the facility.

  • Identify and address any areas of non-compliance to maximize cost savings and ensure adherence to agreements.

  • Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy tailored to the dedicated facility's goals.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the facility's supply chain function.

  • Provide expert guidance and support to the facility's supply chain team.

  • Leverage data analytics to monitor KPIs and proactively address potential disruptions within the facility.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment with the facility's supply chain team and with the corporate office.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members.

General Duties

GPO Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze GPO contract spend and conversion rates.

  • Develop reporting systems to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Provide recommendations to enhance GPO utilization and cost savings.

Strategic Account Management:

  • Proactively address account needs, concerns, and issues.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts.

  • Develop and execute regional supply chain plans aligned with company goals.

Value Analysis and Cost Savings:

  • Participate in value analysis meetings to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Provide input on measures that align with GPO objectives.

Business Reviews and Presentations:

  • Lead or manage onsite business reviews and presentations for accounts.

  • Gather data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Deliver clear and concise presentations to senior stakeholders.

Operational and Technical Support:

  • Serve as a resource for materials management issue resolution.

  • Negotiate successful resolutions and provide education on supply chain operations and GPO/CHC contracts

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Manage and optimize supplier and vendor performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and conflict resolution.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Foster a positive environment and collaboration with Corporate and Facility Supply Chain Directors.

  • Develop a high level of productivity and commitment within facility supply chain teams.

Customer Service and Professionalism:

  • Exhibit quality service behaviors in interactions with customers, colleagues, and others.

  • Uphold and support the company's mission, vision, goals, and objectives

Industry Knowledge and Compliance:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, government regulations, and GPO-related issues

Additional Duties and Travel

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Travel up to 50% to support facilities and lead new onboarding implementations.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting, including 5+ years in a leadership role (Director of Materials Management, Purchasing, or similar) with proven success in supply chain management, account management, contract negotiation, and cost savings.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care administration or other related field, or the equivalent analytical, organizational, and communication experience and skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree is preferred. In lieu of education requirements, candidate will have +15 years of experience in Healthcare Supply Chain.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Healthcare Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of healthcare purchasing, products, services, inventory management, distribution, contracting, and automated systems.

  • Account Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, fostering collaboration and driving mutual success.

  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Proven success in negotiating and managing complex contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.

  • Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs): Comprehensive understanding of GPO programs, processes, and their impact on supply chain operations.

  • Healthcare MMIS: Familiarity with multiple healthcare materials management information systems (MMIS) platforms.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain performance.

  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Adept at identifying/resolving complex issues, and implementing effective solutions.
