Supervisor – Behavioral Health Therapist – Fulltime, Days

Fast-paced, high energy Behavioral Health department is looking for a top skilled therapy supervisor. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano TX 75093

Work hours: Full-time, Days; Monday - Friday 9:00a – 5:00p (Occasional holiday and weekend coverage)

  • The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.

Here’s What You Need

  • Master's Degree Counseling or Social Work required.

  • 2 Years of healthcare related Counseling or Social Work required.

  • 4 Years of healthcare related Counseling or Social Work preferred.

  • 1 Year progressive leadership experience preferred.

  • LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker Upon Hire required or LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker Upon Hire required or LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor Upon Hire required upon Hire required or LMFT - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Upon Hire required or BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire required and ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days required.

What You Will Do

  • Fundamental knowledge and skills in Social Work assessment and intervention as well as alternative levels of care, community resources and healthcare industry. Sound interpersonal skills and able to multitask and think critically in a fast paced environment. Independently practices as part of the healthcare team.

  • Leadership/Clinical Leadership

  • Facilitate staff assignments and provides coordination of patient care

  • Escalates issues to appropriate level of leadership and coordinates mitigation activities as needed

  • Facilitates patient flow for unit.

  • Assists leadership to balance schedules according to departmental needs

  • Resolves daily staffing issues, seeking assistance from leadership as needed

  • Serves as a role model/mentor for staff in the areas of professional development, professional practice, and continuing education.
