What we’re looking for

Toyota’s Vehicle Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated qualified Vehicle Services Accounting and Finance Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate CSS Operational and Capital Expense Budget/Forecasting, consolidate CSS monthly variance reports, participate in Vehicle Services Month End Close activities: Journal Entries, Accruals, Reclasses, and Reporting.

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the person in this role will support the Vehicle Services department's objective to provide a highly valuable lease vehicle benefit to team members at a reasonable cost to Toyota.

What you’ll be doing

Accounting:

  • Manage the vehicle-related billings/reimbursements between Vehicle Services, Toyota Financial Services, Departments, and Affiliate companies.

  • Act as subject matter expert to address Vehicle Services Accounting/Billing related inquiries.

  • Participate in Month End Close activities, i.e. Journal Entries, Accruals, Reclasses.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain the CapEx Pillar Report

  • Prepare and distribute reports related to Company Car vehicles: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.

  • Download and maintain monthly eGAMs and NVS vehicle data.

  • Capture and maintain Accounting Incentive reports: ElimbyVIN

  • Respond to requests and provide ad hoc reports as needed for Company Car information that come from Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) business divisions, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Toyota Affiliates, Tax, Customs.

  • Update and maintain Vehicle Services P&L Report

  • Prepare executive presentations and ad hoc analysis to support & influence senior leadership decision-making.

Coordinate Planning/Forecast:

  • Communicate planning and forecasting guidelines, financial targets, SAP FAST training sessions, key deliverables, and due dates for OPEX and CapEx.

  • Actively work with Finance in monitoring Risks & Opportunities exposure to operating plans.

  • Lead and conduct efforts with business units to compile and analyze the Company Car annual and quarterly (Capex – Dept Vehicles) business plan.

  • Lead annual/quarterly CSS Forecasting meetings.

  • Consolidate and maintain CSS Financial Bridge.

  • Consolidate and maintain CSS HC General Management Fee, TTC R&D Management Fee, TFS Service Level Agreement, and MFS Service Level Agreement.

  • Provide analytical support for Vehicle Services Hoshin activities.

  • Lead process re-engineering to support operational improvement to ensure an efficient and effective Vehicle Services operation.

Back-Up Support:

  • Act as back-up support to VS Billing Analyst for Department Eligibility ID’s.

  • Act as back-up support to Payroll Analyst for Team Member Eligibility ID’s.

Kaizen Opportunities:

  • Lead process re-engineering to support operational improvement to ensure an efficient and effective Vehicle Services operation.

Qualifications/ What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience required.

  • Demonstrated accounting financial reporting experience including journal entries and financial consolidation reporting, and project management responsibilities required.

  • Proficiency with SAP, BPC, and Power BI Dashboards.

  • Strong PC proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organizing, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Self-starter mindset, with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong accounting principles experience.

  • First-rate analytical skills.

  • Solid business acumen and process-oriented mindset.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • A high degree of business partnering skills and ability to influence others at all levels.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong presence and have demonstrated track record of success.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience in retail, fleet, and/or commercial finance.

  • Experience with Toyota Company Car NVS or other legacy systems, and/or reporting tools such as SSRS, and SQL.

  • CPA.
