About you and this role- What you will do in this role

As aSeniorProduction Engineerfor theGlycol 2facility withinLouisiana Operations,you will serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products which maximize value to the business. You will be a part of a team of engineers, in partnership with Operations, Maintenance and EHS to ensure critical business objectives are met.

Responsibilities- Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

  • Become the operations technical focal point for assigned areas of the plants to achieve operations goals (EH&S, People/Inclusion, Reliability) in a team atmosphere.

  • Lead the development and use of procedures and exhibit a strong field presence to reinforce the importance.

  • Utilize defined Most Effective Technology and challenge/escalate MET application and assumptions when better solutions arise.

  • Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies. Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.

  • Ensure compliance with plant operating permits and understands site integration and provides input to optimize.

  • Apply continuous improvement, value creation, and financial acumen skills to accelerate profitability and low cost service of the facility.

  • Drive high levels of quality, responsiveness and reliability for the customer.

  • Actively work to maximize plant margin by understanding how much the plant makes per day and based on the product slate.

  • Works closely with operations team leveraging their problem solving skills and technical expertise.

  • Maintains, owns and reviews daily KPIs and trends to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications- Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (e.g. plant production, process experience, etc.).

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills -An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential

  • Knowledge of Ethylene Oxide, Amines, Alkoxylation technology.

  • Experience in application reliability principles.
