Long Description
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of both the EVS and FNS departments within one location, ensuring that the staff of these departments provide high quality, cost effective services. Maintains excellent relationships with patients, guests, and clients as well as other departments within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and oversees departmental goals and action plans that will meet and/or exceed client expectations
Oversees both housekeeping and food & nutrition services of the hospital/clinic
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
Maintains compliance with all facility and Touchpoint policies and procedures regarding food service operations, safety, and security
Interviews and hires associates; directs work; appraises performance; addresses complaints
Oversees and ensures all associates receive proper training and information to complete assigned duties
Prepares and maintains budget and monitors expenditures
Conducts customer service surveys to measure department effectiveness
Follows facility and department Infection Control policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies
Ensures every patient is visited by a member of management during their stay
Develops and oversees plans to achieve patient and customer satisfaction scores
Oversees and participates in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs
Oversees creation of work schedules for associates that provide adequate coverage
Communicates effectively with client, team members, and patients through various forms of communication
Ensures proper maintenance of departmental equipment
Completes daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required by policy and standard operating procedures
Develops and maintains job descriptions for departmental staff
Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and manages frontline associates.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Four year college degree and equal work related experience
Three to five years of housekeeping/dining services management experience at a healthcare account
Strong knowledge of Environmental Services with a focus on surgical services AORN requirements. In addition, focus on overall quality, productivity, sanitation, supply and labor cost controls.
Previous P&L accountability or contract managed service experience is desirable
