Essential Job Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Sales account leads to develop compelling customer selling stories backed by clear, impactful insights • Work closely with Brand and Innovation teams to create selling materials that support distribution placement and ongoing business growth • Identify trends and opportunities in consumer shopping behavior by analyzing syndicated panel and shopper data • Conduct in-depth category analysis to uncover key performance drivers, providing strategic recommendations that align with Good Foods’ business objectives • Enhance our analytics capabilities, generating insightful, actionable business strategies focused on Product, Placement, Promotion, and Pricing • Establish the foundations of our Category Management practice, designing the capability to scale as we grow • Continuously identify, evaluate, and capitalize on trends and innovations in the CPG landscape • Contribute to cross-functional innovation planning and strategy, providing category overviews and Sales insights • Support ad hoc analytical requests, addressing data gaps and reporting needs • Comply with all company rules, regulations, and policies • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Additional Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in sales or category management within the CPG industry, with a track record of increasing responsibilities • Deep understanding of category management principles, shopper insights, and retail analytics • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to transform complex data analysis into compelling, understandable presentations • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations • Ability to quickly learn and deliver on projects with a sense of urgency, prioritizing multiple workstreams and requests • Advanced experience with technical software such as SPINS, Circana, and Nielsen • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results as a self-starter
Travel: • This position will not require travel
Work Environment: • Typical office environment • Offices with equipment noise • Offices with frequent interruptions • Mostly indoor office environment with windows • If time is needed in the plant, the employee will then be subject to a production environment (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees) • Medium/High noise levels from operating machines • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts • Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes
Physical Requirements: • Use hands to find, handle, touch and manipulate items. • Speak and/or hear • Stand for extended periods, walk and reach with hands or arms • Occasionally stoop, reach, crouch, twist and walk • Have vision abilities to include proximate vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as be able to effectively see and process computer generated images on a screen • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
