Job Summary: The Demand Planner will work in conjunction with our Sales, Customer Success, and Supply Chain teams to help analyze, manage, and communicate all aspects of demand of finished goods and direct materials to support the global supply plan and production schedules. This role maintains the working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain components including forecasting, inventory management, item lifecycle and disposition, seasonal planning, and order fulfillment. Supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:• Support goals and objectives as established by Supply Chain leadership, with an emphasis on developing and executing the global demand planning strategy in alignment with the overall cross-functional and business strategies• Create and communicate the global baseline demand forecast, and work cross-functionally with the Sales and Customer Success Teams to develop and align on an ongoing 12-week consensus forecast to be shared monthly• Responsible for managing the CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning tool (formerly Vanguard Predictive Planning software) with input and feedback from the Sales and Customer Success teams • Update and maintain an ongoing 12-week demand forecast within SAP for MPS and MRP activities executed within the system• Propose and implement solutions and processes for continuous improvement and to improve demand forecast accuracy• Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure timely execution of seasonal demand changes, promotions, LTOs, new product launches and SKU discontinuations (Product Life Cycle management) to limit obsolete material risk• Works directly with procurement to identify and assess direct material availability and out of stock situations• Provides reports, KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Obsolete Material Costs, etc.) and other forms of analysis relating to demand planning activities• Responsible for cross-functional communication on any important changes in the demand forecast• Contribute information and guidance to the S&OP meeting and supports S&OP as needed• Attends scheduled sales and customer meetings as needed to provide input, data, and solutions to close gaps or inaccuracies within the demand forecast• Support operational and supply chain project work as assigned, which may include systems such as Tagetik Supply Chain Planning, SAP and CPGV systems• Comply with all company rules, regulations and policies• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related fields required• 3+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain or Demand Planning role for a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing• Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite, to include PowerPoint, Excel and Email• Supply Chain Management or Demand Planning Certification (i.e. CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, etc) preferred• Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously• Strong analytical skillset and the ability to pull, cleanse, and organize data for analysis and reporting across the organization• Excellent planning, communication, organizational and leadership skills• Experience working in SAP and/or CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning tool (formerly Vanguard Predictive Planning software) preferred
Additional Skills: • Knowledge of food industry a plus• Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, statistical forecasting, and inventory management• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to details• Ability to problem solve and provide strategic solutions quickly• Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment

Work Environment: • Typical office environment • Offices with equipment noise • Offices with frequent interruptions• Mostly indoor office environment with windows• If time is needed in the plant, the employee may be subject to production environment (Wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)• If time is needed in the plant, the employee is required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes
