Job Title: Instrumentation Technician II

Instrumentation Technician II , This intermediate-level position involves the calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of various electronic, mechanical/dimensional, and electro-mechanical test and measurement equipment. The role requires both in-house laboratory work and occasional travel to client locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and moderately complex calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment used by biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and electronic/electromechanical firms.

  • Equipment includes but is not limited to thermometers, pressure gauges, transmitters, probes, flow meters, calipers, micrometers, chart recorders, electronic balances, pipettes, centrifuges, pH meters, conductivity meters, humidity meters, force meters, speed meters, time meters, and torque meters.

  • Perform calibration both in the laboratory environment at A&P and at client site as needed.

  • Provide reliable personal transportation to and from the lab or customer site before or after working hours.

  • Drive company vehicles and personal vehicles as needed during working hours.

  • Use calibration procedures and measurement systems on customer equipment, ensuring compliance with A&P Calibrations, Inc., or customer requirements.

  • Evaluate calibration results for certificate acceptance to deliver to Quality Assurance.

    Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, Biomedical, Life Sciences or Electronics or 5 years of equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum three (3) years of instrument maintenance/calibration experience in the military, electronics, pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device, or related industries.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, ratios, metrics, and interpret specifications. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician preferred.

  • Military electronics and/or calibration experience preferred.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Able to lift and move objects without assistance, minimum 75lbs.

  • Utilize hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks.

  • Accurate vision at all ranges (close and distant).

  • Depth perception/adjust focus.

  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area up and down or left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).

  • Ability to see and distinguish colors.
