Marshall-Starke Development Center, Inc. Employment Consultant in Plymouth, Indiana

Employment: 40 hours per week; 12 months per year Reports To: Community Employment Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelors degree in rehabilitation, personnel, psychology, or other relevant areas desirable, but not required. 2. Three years experience in job placement, personnel, sales/marketing, or other relevant field. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and deliver training to consumers on a variety of jobs in a variety of situations. 4. Must have reliable transportation 5. Must be willing to work variable hours, in a variety of placement settings, as determined by individual consumer needs.

BASIC FUNCTIONS Responsible for assisting in planning and evaluating of Job Placement Services; provides direct services to clients; conducts job development activities with local employers and referral agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Assists in planning and developing of job development and job placement assistance activities. 2. Participates as team member in case conferences in planning and developing of individual program plans for clients referred for job placement services. 3. Conducts job placement of clients in competitive employment. 4. Prepares and maintains all necessary records and forms. 5. Provides training on work behaviors and social skills aimed at improving work performance. 6. Maintains active follow-up contact on a systematic basis for caseload open with VR or placed in competitive employment.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS 1. Attends training, conferences, seminars

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS 1. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
