Spectraforce Technologies Inc. R&D Engineer Project Manager II in Plymouth, Minnesota

Title: R&D Engineer Project Manager II Duration: 12 Months Location: Plymouth, MN USA Skills: Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system Education: Bachelor degree in a discipline appropriate to the project environment. Duties: Is responsible and accountable for achieving those results; where results are expressed in terms of compliance with Design Control and/or Change Control policies; quality; time; scope and cost. A project is a set of interrelated tasks that culminates in clearly defined business results. For new product development projects; the business results will typically include the launch of one or more products. Differences across the levels of Project Manager are dependent upon increasing project complexity and increasing level of expected independence. Each higher level incorporates the expectations from the lower levels. Manage moderately complex project or several smaller low complexity projects with the assistance from their manager. Evaluates Risk/Reward Trade-offs: Provides risk assessments (both safety and project related) and communicates critical issues impacting product quality to management (Q01 and Q04.01.004)). Establish and maintain risk analysis as part of overall responsibility to control / reduce risk (QO4.01.001) Recognizes strategy; quantifies and evaluates risks; recommends actions and develops contingencies to cope with various scenarios. Able to analyze risk / reward trade-offs and make recommendations of appropriate path forward. Translates Project Goals: Translates project ADD goals into the day-to-day activities necessary to accomplish them. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in with 5-7 years' experience preferred (Engineering preferred - technical background), * Experience with medical device highly preferred; experience in highly regulated industry may be okay depending on the experience * Managing components * Knowledge of manufacturing process * Knowledge of regulatory processes * Working with RD, Quality, Supply chain - cross functional working * Direct buyer to PO needs * Experience of product development process, design verification * Experience negotiating pricing, payment options, etc. * Monitor quality and delivery and overall project * Coordinate inspections * MS Office/Suite experience required * Experience with presenting preferred * PM certification not required * Job Titles with Project Management experience - Supplier Quality Manager, Supply Chain Engineer, Design Insurance * Looking for project management with technical background (mechanical, industrial, math, physics, etc. - machining/assembly skills; identification of problems occurring when making product) - 95% mechanical components * Need to be able to follow timeline * Help facilitate the team * Vendor management experience required - working with suppliers SPECTRAFORCE is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, disability or veteran status, or any other category protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
