POSITION TITLE: PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT\ LOCATION: Youth Development Center\ CLOSING DATE: Position will be open until filled.\ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 6.5 hours per day for full time\ DAYS: Nine-month employment\ SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be \$14.00 per hour\ START DATE: As soon as possible.\ \ JOB SUMMARY: The principle function of this position is to provide instructional assistance to students. The position works with individual and/or small groups of students in the Bannock County Youth Development Center to increase learning skills and levels and assist students in completing online courses. The students will be working on computer-based APEX credit recovery classes or GED study materials. Other responsibilities include assisting in preparing students for the transition back to high school, employment, or further education. The majority of the work is performed in collaboration with the Youth Development Coordinator and Probation Officer in the YDC classroom.\ \ JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent AND successful completion of a minimum of 32 academic core college semester credits that will lead to a Bachelors Degree OR must pass the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment Test. COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED WITH THE APPLICATION.\ \ \ BENEFITS INFORMATION: Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance are available to full time employees of the district.
