Commander, Navy Installations ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in Point Loma Complex, California

Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the COMMAND/ ADMIN PROGRAM ADMINSTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE POINT LOMA. Responsibilities You will direct military and civilian personnel (e.g., professional, technical, administrative, support staff) through the establishment of goals, objectives, or work priorities. You will advise personnel on training and education solutions. You will allocate resources to manage and align business operations in support of short or long-range plans. You will develop and compile written training policies and directives for immersive training resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting the Administrative Officer to determine budget and manpower requirements of various departments by creating reports, securing files, and composing correspondence ; 2) Assessing support program effectiveness through the use of qualitative and quantitative methods in order to provide suggestions for improvement; 3) Advising management on a wide range of administrative proposals, policies, and procedures to support efficient operations and maintain compliance with established regulations; and 4) Providing advice and training on Defense Travel rules and regulations to aid in the proper use of Defense Travel System (DTS).
