Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary

As a Principal Quality Assurance Specialist - Electrical specializing in Electrical systems, you will provide specialized technical expertise to support our Quality program. Your role involves conducting specialized inspection and testing techniques, implementing quality training, and utilizing statistical methods to ensure compliance with quality standards. You will play a key role in improving product systems' safety, reliability, and maintainability through the application of performance evaluation and prediction methods.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level technical support in quality assurance, focusing on electrical systems and components.

  • Facilitate and deliver advanced quality training programs to enhance the understanding of quality principles among team members.

  • Lead and participate in quality audits to evaluate adherence to established standards and identify opportunities for improvement in electrical systems.

  • Utilize advanced quality tools and methodologies to analyze and resolve complex problems related to electrical systems and components.

  • Generate detailed inspection reports to document the condition of electrical systems and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

  • Offer strategic recommendations for corrective actions based on thorough inspection findings to maintain quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements for electrical projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of quality systems and standards.

  • Take ownership of maintaining high-quality standards for electrical products, procedures, and materials used in projects.

  • Align the electrical quality management function with organizational objectives and performance needs to achieve excellence.

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical materials and systems to verify compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Document nonconformities and oversee follow-up audits on corrective actions to address electrical quality issues effectively.

  • Inspect all aspects of electrical projects to guarantee compliance with documented procedures and contractual requirements.

  • Develop and implement specialized quality inspection checklists tailored to electrical systems to ensure thorough inspections.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and achievements.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions with project personnel, management, and clients in electrical quality assurance activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on electrical systems.

  • Must have a strong understanding of specialized inspection and testing techniques specific to electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in statistical methods and quality tools for problem-solving and assessment is required.

  • Requires the ability to align quality management functions with product line performance needs.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide guidance and direction to team members.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
