Shire Junior Clinical Coordinator in Poland - Warsaw -, Washington

The Junior Clinical Coordinator (CC) is field-based position that provides assistance, education and support for diseases of Shire Hemophilia portfolio scope, actively contributing to Shire initiative named Personalized Care & Support. The Junior Clinical Coordinator as a part Patient Access Team will work closely with patients and their families, caregivers, HCP as well as patient organizations to prevent and address barriers to patient access. The CC participates in regular cross-functional team meetings and trainings to ensure better coordination of patient service activities and related field activities. Close cross functional co-operations within Medical Department is mandatory. Main responsibilities:

  • To continue self-education, staying up-to-date with current knowledge in the field of professional medical competence inclusive self-assessments of all conducted medical trainings.

  • To provide in a proper manner education and trainings to others, for clients, nursing staff, and patients etc. using appropriate educational, training materials, designed tools and technology behind.

  • To keeping accurate records of hemophilia educational programs planned/delivered and their participants respecting all related procedures, legal requirements.

  • To play the role of coordinator/mentor/teacher contributing to Shire’s hemophilia national educational program.

  • To participate in all relevant conferences, educational projects.

  • To cooperate with medical and marketing teams to develop, offer and maintain high quality and effective educational program for patients, HCP, nursing staff and medical teams.

  • To manage local initiatives in collaboration with Shire’s Medical Department which are relevant for Patient Access Team goals and strategy

  • To plan and supervise the implementation of healthcare programs that enable patients to understand how to manage /maintain their own therapy e.g. e-diary

  • Working within clearly defined Shire’s procedures and operational protocols and their ongoing verification, if the situation requires to guarantee the highest compliance and ethical standards on top to local law.
