We are seeking a Driver Supervisor to join our Pompano Beach, FL team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Train new drivers

  • Communicate daily with drivers to solve issues as they arise

  • Schedule drivers time off and ensure all routes are covered

  • Monitoring of drivers and trucks, including Sun Pass usage, fuel spend, overtime

  • Fleet management, customer routing, truck schedules

  • Monitoring of the GPS system, and DOT regulations

  • CDL License and knowledge of DOT regulations a plus

  • Fill in as back up driver when needed

  • Candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to communicate professionally with both internal and external customers

  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel preferred

  • Financial oversight of OT routes – Increase profitability of routes

  • Maintain driver schedule, training, DOT compliance, time management, reviewing logs for accuracy and completeness, communicating and resolving problems. Frequent ride-along with drivers is important in resolving problems and for the success of our fleet.

  • Communicating, coaching and developing employee success while also documenting performance issues.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of the truck fleet. Communicate equipment needs and replacement requirements to Management in order to upgrade and maintain driver safety, productivity and efficiency.

  • Review and optimize truck routes. Make changes to improve efficiency and cost as needed.

  • Work with Management to promote and ensure that our Safety Program initiatives are enforced, providing a safe and clean workplace for employees, while remaining in compliance with OSHA, state and local requirements, as applicable.

  • Investigate and documenting accidents. Provide appropriate corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the BDM and/or divisional management

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.
