Job Coach

Reports to: Assigned Teacher, Building Principal, and Director of Special Services
Supervises: Students
Qualifications: 48 Hours College CreditORPassing Score on Paraprofessional Test
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Drivers License
Job Goal: Provides assistance to special needs students in on-site job training,
including supervising students on site, obtaining job sites, and
providing transportation for students to job sites.
Employment Terms: 10 month contract, 7.25 Hours per Day, Exclusive of a Lunch
FLSA Classification:Nonexempt
Evaluation: Annually by Site Principal

Regular Requirements:Stand for extended periods; walk; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment and demonstrate lessons to students; lift/move up to 50 pounds
Occasional Requirements: Lift/move up to 100 pounds
Visual Requirements:Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements:Adequate to exchange information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps find job sites and decides which students are qualified for the specific job.
- Takes students out in the community to different places of business for training.
- Models or shows student how job is to be performed.
- Supervises students as they perform jobs.
- Keeps records of each student\'s job performance and behavior while on the job.
- Oversees student time sheets.
- To ensure continuity of services, remote work may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. An employees eligibility for remote work will be determined by the superintendent of schools. Expectations and guidelines for remote work will be distributed by the employees supervisor, based on his/her role and responsibilities.
- Performs all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
