Army National Guard Units PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE 32) in Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a GS-1152-09 PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1255000 in SPMD 5124 and is part of the MO Field Maintenance Shop 4. APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This position is a Temporary vacancy NTE one year in the Excepted Service. This is a bargaining position. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BELOW. Responsibilities Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment. Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements. Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment or (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management. Ensures that Army Materiel Status System (AMSS) equipment readiness reports are correct and submitted in a timely manner to meet Department of the Army (DA) reporting suspense. Conducts initial and long range planning on matters which include multiple process production, maintenance operations and equipment readiness. Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. Performs demand analysis on unit CL IX expenses to determine proper stockage to sustain unit mission requirements. Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by Force Activity Designator. Analyzes repair methods and develops control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade - Warrant Officer - CW3 (W-3) Enlisted - SGM (E-9) Title 32 National Guard employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which indicates you can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, and understand the terminology and data pertaining to the repair operations and processes characteristic of a production activity. GS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 24 months of specialized experience in preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes; using current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Education This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
