UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Laboratory Research Assistant in PORT ARANSAS, Texas
Conduct marsh vegetation and sea level monitoring in the Nueces Delta and other wetland sites as assigned. Overall duties include sampling via boat, hiking, and wading through wetland habitats, and data entry.Analyze water samples in laboratory for Total Suspended Solids, chlorophyll, and nutrients.Process sediment cores for organic matter, moisture content, and dissolved pore water components.Assist with additional duties related to lab and field sampling of wetland vegetation.
