McLaren Health Care Supervisor Environmental Services - McLaren Careers in Port Huron, Michigan
Position Summary:
Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Hospital.
Provides supervision and technical housekeeping skills needed for the efficient daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
Collects and coordinates all activities and materials related to the regulatory and compliance requirements of state and government agencies for Facilities/Construction.
Ensures the quality of operations and service outcome and the provision of superior customer-friendly service.
Supports financial objectives and strategies, and provides for well-informed, empowered and accountable employees.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Supports the Mission and Vision of McLaren Port Huron through behaviors that reflect and integrate our values, as evidenced by observation, peer and customer feedback.
Supervises housekeeping services for daily operations on assigned shift and during project functions.
Coordinates activities related to regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission, HFAP, and OSHA.4. Coordinates delivery of high-quality, continuously improving operational outcomes or departmental services based on efficient, evidence-based processes.
Provides superior customer-friendly services.
Supports financial objectives and strategies.
Provides for well-informed, empowered and accountable employees.
Perform other related duties as required and directed.
Qualifications:
Required
Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent licensure, certifications or minimum three (3) years in Healthcare Housekeeping or Facilities Management experience.
Minimum one (1) year in Healthcare Housekeeping or Facilities Management experience.
Preferred:
- CHESP (Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional) certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Leadership skills, Microsoft skills, problem solving skills, effective verbal and written communication for staff, management and customers.
Knowledge, as it relates to housekeeping services, of infection control principles, personal protection guidelines proper use of chemicals and floor-care equipment and SDS sheets.
Fosters positive customer relations, self-motivation and personal accountability.
