SPORTS TURF & FIELD MAINTENANCE PORTER

Here’s what you’d do:

THE STARTING RATE OF PAY FOR THIS ROLE IS $17 PER HOUR BUT COULD GO UP FROM THERE BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS YOU HOLD.

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION AND REQUIRES PREVIOUS SIMILAR WORK EXPERIENCE. CANDIDATES WITHOUT THAT EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE INTERVIEWED. Additionally, ALL CANDIDATES MUST have or be able to obtain a State Issued Chauffer's license to be considered for this role, as well as BE ABLE TO PASS A DOT MEDICAL PHYSICAL WHICH DOES INCLUDE A DRUG TEST (this is a federal requirement) AND A BACKGROUND CHECK.

You’d be responsible for:

• Contributing to the many activities that make the campus, grass, flowers and client relationships bloom. Using a variety of landscape and campus equipment.

• Broad knowledge of horticulture, landscaping equipment and experience using them to maintain Sports fields

• Maintaining campus Sports fields and Surrounding common areas

• Emptying Trash Cans in Sports fields and Surrounding common areas

• Events/Games Set Up, Tear Down and Clean Up (Weekend Availability required)

• Sports Field/Turf maintenance knowledge

• Experience Painting Sports Fields; maintaining artificial turf sports fields

• Aeration machinery experience

• Other Duties as assigned

• Repetitive motion required on a daily basis and may include bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, squatting, and lifting

• Set up and clean up, and taking good care of our trucks and machinery.

  You might be a good fit if you have:

• At least 18 years old

• Punctual

• Have a Valid Driver’s License

• Have previous Sports Field/Turf maintenance experience

  It would be great if you also have:

• Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often.

• Enthusiasm and dependable, and able to safely work with landscape and campus equipment.
