Vital Records Clerk Part Time (22.5 hours per week)\ City Clerks Office\ \ Ready to make a meaningful impact in a vital role? Join our team as a Vital Records Clerk, where you\'ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and managing critical documentation with precision and care.\ \ Responsibilities Include:
- Position involves complex and confidential duties issuing birth, marriage, and death certificates, fishing and hunting licenses, marriage licenses, and dog licenses.
- Handles high volume of telephone calls and mail-in requests.
- Assists with Election related duties as needed.
\ Requirements:
- Applicants must be energetic, detail oriented, organized, customer friendly, computer literate and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Must also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; must be able to climb a step ladder and retrieve heavy (up to 20 lbs.) volumes of records from vault.
- Must be able to work with a diverse population, including language diversity.
- Must be able to qualify as a Notary Public within 60 days of hire.
- Overtime hours, that may include evening and weekend work, may be required during petition verification and elections.
