The anticipated starting salary range for Portland-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $60,000.00/yr-$80,000.00/yr.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

What You'll Do:
Minimum of 5 years of broadcast engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with FM, HD, and AM transmitters, including AM directional antenna systems.
Ability to inspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antennas, satellite downlinks, automation systems, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone systems, and related other equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven time management skills with the ability to multitask in a multiple project environment.
IT and network knowledge and experience.
Strong PC skills, including proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and documentation software applications.
Experience with computer-based audio storage systems (WideOrbit/VoxPro preferred).
Experience with digital audio and audio streaming.
Assist with the maintenance and development of all aspects of technical facilities, including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite, STL, computers, and data networks.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of computers and IT systems, including networking and proficiency with Google Workspace.
A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of the applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance.
Physical requirements: Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred:
SBE Certification.
Experience with modern digital audio systems, including WideOrbit, VoxPro, and Audio Over IP.
Availability to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
At least four years of college or technical school education and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
On-call availability 24/7 in case of equipment failure.
