Lead School Nurse Post Falls School District (2024-25 SY / various school sites)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Current Idaho Registered Nurse License. Ability to obtain or hold Idaho Pupil Personnel Services Credential endorsed for School Nurse. Experience in school nursing, mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, or community health nursing preferred. Ability to travel to other schools.\ \ Must be calm under stressful situations, patient, supportive, and work well with both adolescents and adults. A successful candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment and manage time well, switch between tasks quickly, and effectively communicate and keep an organized and functional space. General computer skills and familiarity with google drive are a plus.\ \ School nurse purpose is to promote and improve student health and educational success by facilitating the removal of health-related barriers to learning. School nurses work at various building sites to promote a medically effective, friendly, and caring atmosphere for students of all grade levels, parents and staff. Services include: assessing illness and injury, providing first\ aid and making appropriate referrals.

Responsibilities: Provide nursing services to students in a school setting. Additional responsibilities include: Supervising the other school nurses and Health room assistants, creating district wide health office schedule, setting up and delivering first aid training and flu clinics for staff and screenings and education for students. Attend meetings regarding students or health and safety concerns as needed. Order supplies, review illness letters, submit state vaccination report, and district wide year end report. Other duties as assigned.

Salary: \$46,000.00 /DOE / certified salary scale
