Job Title: Lead ArchitectSalary Range: $80 - $85 Per HourLocation: 62 Civic Center Plaza, 3rd Floor, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601Due Date: April 20, 2024Overview:As the Lead Architect, you'll oversee the architectural review process for projects under consideration by the City of Poughkeepsie Planning Board. Ensuring designs meet city standards and enhance the urban landscape is your primary responsibility. Collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and city officials is key to achieving this objective.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight:Lead architectural review for submitted development plans.Ensure designs comply with city regulations and aesthetic standards.Guide the Architectural Team for consistency and quality.Communication and Coordination:Act as primary contact between architectural team, city officials, and stakeholders.Organize meetings, discussions, and presentations for architectural reviews.Facilitate collaboration among team members to meet project goals.Quality Assurance:Review feedback and recommendations from the Architectural Team.Assess development plans for strengths, weaknesses, and improvements.Ensure proposed solutions are innovative and functional.Strategic Planning:Develop strategies to enhance architectural quality in Poughkeepsie.Stay updated on architectural trends and best practices.Provide insights for policy development and urban planning.Leadership and Mentorship:Lead and guide the Architectural Team.Foster a supportive work environment for creativity and growth.Mentor junior architects and support staff.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.Licensed architect with 10+ years of experience.Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).Strong understanding of building codes and zoning regulations.Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.Track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a team environment.
