Oncologist with Breast Subspecialty Interest– Vassar Brothers Medical Center – 75 Miles from New York City
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an academically oriented Oncologist with subspecialty interest in Breast, to join our expanding Cancer Institute. Our hematologists/oncologists are an integral part of the overall strategy for the Nuvance Health Cancer Institute, which spans our larger 7 hospital system in eastern New York and western Connecticut. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio, aligning with an academic partner, and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region.
The ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified/eligible hematologist/oncologist with sub-specialty interest and experience in Breast, looking to join a highly capable team of established and respected clinicians that cover Vassar Brothers Medical Center and Northern Dutchess Hospital. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses. Generous Sign-on bonus up to $50K and relocation allowance are offered.

The Nuvance Health Cancer Institute is a member of NRG and has a robust clinical trials office including phase one trials, and strong collaboration with PhD’s, physician scientists and dedicated research coordinators.
Vassar has a new 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms
