Join us, as a People Protect, Global Physical Security (GPS) Platform Services Specialist (EMEA). This role will report to the Global Head of Platform Services Management (US-Pacific Time) and be an individual contributor responsible for cloud security platform administration and maintenance of production security systems supporting SAP physical security. Daily direction will be provided by the EMEA Service Management lead located in the UK, while work activities will be performed from the Prague, CZ Regional Security Operations Center.

Challenge yourself and develop your skills, based on key responsibilities including coordination of numerous internal service providers, tracking and managing performance of our production security systems, troubleshooting and management of service disruptions to ensure a highly available physical or cloud infrastructure supporting SAP.

A critical piece will be in supporting the EMEA Regional Security Operations teams as it relates to security technologies enabling this critical function of the business. This includes, but is not limited to, administration of our critical security systems and service management frameworks.

The critical systems maintenance, includes understanding and administering basic network components, including partnering with SAP IT teams to ensure security video and access control connectivity is established and maintained. This includes the ability to do basic network troubleshooting, network IP address and port configuration where appropriate, and working within a 24x7 maintenance environment when appropriate.

In addition to core security administration and support, this role will be involved with various elements of service availability, based on a common ITIL v2 framework. This includes proactive communication, day-to-day support for Business as Usual (BUA) activities, with Continued Service Improvement (CSI) mindset. Responsibility areas focus primarily on SAP EMEA locations (with follow the sun responsibilities for other locations globally), with operational direction and daily leadership to be provided by the GPS EMEA Regional Head of Platform Services. We desire and demand the best, so being self-motivated and a self-starter nature are elements for this role to be successful.

Desired key skills include service management experience, as well as Windows Server OS, SAP Converged Cloud setup and administration knowledge, expertise with enterprise systems and integrations, troubleshooting and communications, project management and agile expertise. In addition to supporting production systems, the ideal candidate will be expected to assist in building out and improving fundamental service management operations practices, including incident management, problem management, change and release management for the GPS suite of applications. An innovative and forward-thinking approach is vital, with a hunger for new technologies, and a collaborative mindset.

A successful candidate will be able to achieve the following duties:

  • Maintain internal and cross functional relationships within SAP and GPS and third-party suppliers, assisting with technology deployments, upgrades, testing, and releases.

  • Support for the needs of the Prague RSOC and respective Security Operational Teams, from a technology, process, strategy, and data privacy perspective.

  • Technical troubleshooting and problem diagnosis, in order to properly route a problem to the appropriate service owner for resolution, while tracking and managing within a strict set of SLAs.

  • Contribute within our ongoing Service Management standards and practices for change, release, event, incident, major incident and problem management. These standards along with other process improvements will help GPS provide a highly performing service operation to SAP.

  • Able to work after hours and weekends for critical issues (when required).

  • Troubleshooting of server or core infrastructure connectivity / triage process / to drive toward high availability; provide insight including RCA (root cause assessment related to process, people or technology) and incident triaging; driving solutions to mitigate future service disruption.

  • Flexibility in performing as a special-teams player, able to jump into special topics and projects on demand. This may include demonstrating project management skills, ability to define and drive programs and bring clarity around complex topics, and to advise on topics in a fluid manner.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Self-directed and independent thought leader.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to partner with diverse global teams to develop world class physical security systems and networks.

  • Server admin/cloud and network admin experience a plus, Windows OS 2016 or greater, Azure, AWS, SAP Converged Cloud.

  • Fundamental networking administration and troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with ITIL v2 service management methodology, or equivalent expertise working within a structure information technology organization with disciplined skillsets.

  • While not required, familiarity with physical security systems including GENETEC, CCURE-9000, Everbridge, Resolver, Dataminr, Logicgate GRC, etc.

  • Ability to work alongside a global remote workforce and to self-direct your own work. Ability to manage your time and schedule accordingly and to work to update your leadership and seek input as required.

  • Seek to drive design and operational excellence and quality assurance by providing best practices, problem solving, and guidance within their area of responsibility.

  • Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office 365 suite including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for use in managing and reporting on all projects.

  • Strong organizational skills required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 5-8 years experience in the technology field, with at least 3 years experience in enterprise systems or networking design and implementation experience.

  • Familiarity with SAP landscape and product offerings.

  • Preferred administration training or certifications with Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions, AWS, GCP, or SAP Converged Cloud offerings

  • Background or general familiarity with Physical Security Systems (Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems)

  • Genetec, cCure 9000 experience a plus

  • SIEM / PIEM experience, ITIL or ITSM related training or certifications are a must.

  • Project management trained or certified.

  • Ability to pass background verification.

  • English language required; working proficiency in secondary or tertiary languages desirable.
