Overview of the Early Career Program

The Early Career Program gives you an opportunity to apply for a Graduate Trainee position starting in October 2024 in our offices in Prague or in Bratislava.

This opportunity covers a 2-year Program, with 3 assignments of 8 months each, rotating across the following departments:

Commercial: Work closely with the brand teams to support product launches and bring AbbVie products to market. Gain a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales, and commercial policies and practices. Define and implement brand strategies and productivity indicators used in measuring performance and efficiency. Manage planning, monitor the competitive environment, and develop a high level of product and therapeutic disease knowledge to promote the appropriate use of AbbVie products to our stakeholders – by shadow visiting with Product specialists.

Customer Excellence: Develop understanding of the competitive landscape, navigate dynamics of the market, and establish a deep understanding of the drivers of AbbVie’s performance.

Medical Affairs: Assist in responding to medical inquiries and update the medical information database with the latest clinical and product information. Support the preparation of scientific materials and communication materials. Provide administrative support for ongoing clinical trials, including documentation management and coordination with clinical sites. Support the organization of medical events. Ensure adherence to ethical standards and compliance with policies and regulations.

Pharmacovigilance: Assist in the collection, processing, and documentation of adverse event reports and accurate data entry of into the pharmacovigilance database. Help in preparing and submitting safety reports to regulatory authorities. Support the team in signal detection activities. Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management plans and periodic safety update reports.

Market Access: Cooperate on development of integrated access strategy. Define value proposition of brands. Monitor competitors and communicate potential impact to teams. Collaborate with cross-functional brand teams.

Qualifications

Skills and qualifications

  • Master´s degree in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences, obtained between 2022-2024;

  • Top Academic track record with extracurricular activities;

  • 1– 2 years’ work experience desirable, international experience is a plus;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

  • Proficiency in English and Czech/ Slovak languages;

  • Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity;

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems, providing appropriate recommendations;

  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation communication skills;

  • Global mindset to thrive in a diverse cultural environment and strong interest in mobility.
