About the role

The overall objective of Key Account Manager role is to drive customer strategy of profit and margin growth and to maintain long-term relationships with key customers while taking care of our brands like Durex, Dettol or Veet.

Your responsibilities

  • Implement 4P’s strategy: assortment, promotions, planogram, and store KPIs (distribution, flyer and secondary placement share, promotion location, shelf share, and quality).

  • Achieve strategic objectives per customer: market shares, net revenue, COP, gross margin, NWC.

  • Build long-term partnerships with customers.

  • Manage trade spending: contract terms and promotional investments.

  • Negotiate customer trading terms in line with RB commercial strategy.

  • Implement and manage category strategy per customer; support customer and shopper marketing teams.

  • Continuously improve account management by identifying opportunities and enhancing category profitability.

  • Prepare short-term sales forecasts and drive forecast accuracy (KPI).

  • Analyze key data: market shares, turnover, listings, promotional plans, placement targets, ROI on trade investment.

Handle day-to-day activities:

  • Administrative tasks: invoice complaints, price communication/negotiation.

  • Send POS materials and samples.

  • Prepare customer-specific promotional plans.

  • Collaborate on route-to-market strategy.

The experience we're looking for

  • ​​​​​​​FMCG experience in Trade Marketing, Marketing, Sales, and Key Account Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related subject from a recognized university.

  • Highly analytical and numerate.

  • Experience influencing and engaging senior management in both own and customer organizations.

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative and results-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities.

  • Solid understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning.

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong sense of urgency and achievement.
