Oracle Senior Java Backend Engineer in PRAGUE, Czech Republic
Job Description
Job Summary: As a Senior Backend Developer, you will bring a wealth of experience and a comprehensive understanding of backend development with a strong focus on Java. Your role will involve creating and integrating new API endpoints into large Java codebases and contributing to our infrastructure, build pipelines, and containerization efforts. Your role will involve solving a wide range of complex tasks creatively and with sound judgment, receiving general instructions on new assignments, and contributing significantly to our development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Build Pipeline Development:
Assist in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient application delivery.
Support the automation of build, test, and deployment processes.
Containerization:
Work with Docker to containerize applications and maintain consistency across environments.
Contribute to the management and optimization of Docker containers.
Backend Development:
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java.
Create and integrate new API endpoints into large Java codebases.
Ensure smooth integration with Oracle databases and other backend services.
Testing:
Unit testing with Junit
Experience creating multi-service integration tests
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in full-stack development, with a solid understanding of Java-centric backend development, infrastructure, build pipelines, containerization, and application development.
Proficiency in Java, including creating and integrating API endpoints into large codebases.
Strong understanding of Oracle databases from as application perspective.
Proven ability to contribute to scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
Ability to work independently on day-to-day tasks and collaboratively on new assignments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
