Job Overview
Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies. Key responsibilities include managing a team of operational financial analysts/plant controllers, consolidation and analysis of actual results/forecasts/budgets, conducting monthly plant reviews, product/conversion/material productivity analysis, driving freight/inventory reductions, and supporting capital investments. The position also requires coordination with the regional/global BU supply chain team.
Job Description
Overview :
Supervise FP&A activities & Internal control environment, including planning, budgeting, reporting and internal controls with the objective of ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, accounting principles and standards within TE's Corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities :
1. GAAP/Ethics Compliance & Internal Control
Front line role includes educating and training to different Depts
Zero tolerance for compliance missteps-Understand TE’s compliance programs
Case lesson learn and corrective action and sharing
Internal Audit/Compliance key contact window
DoA/SoD review and updates"
2. Planning and Budgeting
Work with cross function for annual budget, hourly rate comparison
Monthly forecast review and results analyze include but not limit to MV, GM%, Productivity%, Conversion cost etc
All kinds of reports and analysis requested by BU Finance"
3. Drive activities to continuously improve KPI
Provide insightful analysis and highlight opportunities for consumable, Variable, Fixed etc. cost reduction
Daily and weekly checking, highlight risks, work closely with operation team to prevent deviation from the target
Material and Conversion TEBIT review, suggestions and approval"
4. People Management
Coach mindset of self-check and analysis in advance for all kinds of reporting, try to prepare reports from customer perspective
Effectively communicate with team through a routine cadence of meetings
Encourage team do sharing during dept meeting, encourage open mindset to release full potential In order to achieve targeted team performance and retain talent."
5. Other assignments
Coordinate with Cross functions and FSSC to clear up obstacles before monthly closing
PR/PO review and approval along with cost control
Monthly liability Review/ BS Review
Quarterly markup simulation
Cost Center review and updates
Special projects follow up
Business partner to plant by providing guidance, suggestion for special case etc"
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, major in Accounting, Finance or related
10+ years' finance experience in manufacturing, including 2 years management experience in manufacturing site
Skilled with SAP, EXCEL and PPT, costing related experience is plus
Understand in US and PRC GAAP
Fluent in written/oral English
