Allegion Electrical Hardware Engineer in Princeton, Illinois

What you’ll do:
Coordinate with all engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and quality assurance in a team environment with good understanding of cross functional design processes
Analyze data and utilize standard problem-solving techniques to resolve issues in a structured methodology
Ability to develop hardware design concepts and architectures for electronic systems
Proficiency in engineering computer tools used for schematic capture (Altium Designer is a plus), ECAD design, simulation, and design analysis
Support on-site certification and compliance for manufactured products
Manage projects and maintain project schedules and timelines to reduce risk, and meet customer requirements, budget and defined timelines
Apply cutting edge technology and build new features in products to solve customer needs, requests and deliver great solutions
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Background in a similar role, preferably in electronics or hardware design, 3+ years preferred
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Knowledge of electronics modeling and design, manufacturing processes, including surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole technology (THT), and printed circuit board (PCB) assembly
Preferred experience designing analog and digital circuits
Passion to be at the intersection of new electronic products and solid mechanical brand legacy
