The Role

The Director, US Field Operations will be responsible for managing the Operations functions essential to sales force productivity. The incumbent will oversee key areas such as planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, data acquisition and analysis, incentive compensation, field force mapping and alignments, targeting and segmentation, and meeting planning. The Director, US Field Operations works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization. This leader will be responsible for providing strategic insight to both the field force and the leadership team specific to the business KPI's.

Responsibilities:
Provides strategic and tactical support to sales management and the senior management team on sales execution.
Coordinates with other functions and stakeholders in sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.
Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts.
Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources.
Lead the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
Ensures plans motivate field personnel and support the commercial sales/profit objectives.
Implements sizing and deployment strategies to ensure objectives and sales force effectiveness are achieved.
Ensures timely and accurate collection, analysis, formatting, management, and dissemination of sales data to the field teams.
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization.
Drives annual targeting & segmentation work in partnership with BIA and coordinates with our business information team for down steam implementation.
Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of technology investments.
Leads meeting planning efforts across functions for national business meetings and incentive compensation trips.
Hires, manages and develops direct reports.


Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required; Advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 12 years of work experience in sales operations, marketing analytics, strategic consulting or other analytical work in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industries.
Previous people leadership experience is required.
The exceptional ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures is required.
Must have a strong track record of motivating a sales organization to ensure that all sales activities are documented and completed.
Requires in-depth and current knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing strategies including building sales incentive plans.
Must have experience in supporting launch products and/or new launch indications with forecasting and strategic decision support.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) required along with strong project/process management skills.
The ability to develop and maintain strong team relationships, including external partners, while driving for positive results is required.
Previous experience in oncology is required.
Experience specifically in hematology is a plus.
Position is located in Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid working style)


For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$176,250.00---$293,750.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
