Leads operational and effectiveness initiatives for the Hematology Sales Organization. Leads the development and execution of sales force strategic planning grounded on maximizing customer impact through the sales organization. Connects and collaborates seamlessly with all functional groups that interact with the sales teams. This individual will lead the Sales and Marketing integration and alignment on sales force communication and sales force tactical execution. Work closely with Marketing and the US Strategy and Operations teams, this individual will proactively identify opportunities to enhance field sales effectiveness and productivity by mobilizing the appropriate support functions responsible for creating such capabilities. Identifies trends, opportunities and potential business concerns and can and take ownership to solve problems. Leads the development and execution of the annual sales business planning process. Provides strategic oversight and coordination of the national sales meeting planning. Understands the reporting needs of the business and partners with the sales analytics, marketing, and market research teams to create/simplify sales reports/data that will support the sales teams. Monitors national/sub national sales performance and productivity vs objectives. Managers, monitors and tracks the sales operations budget and the adherence to BMS policies and procedures. Monitors the utilization of resources and recommend course correction as necessary. Coordinates with alliance partners around tactical execution and a focus on resource allocation. Provides strategic leadership to Hematology Operations team including ongoing development and coaching.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Relevant pharmaceutical sales experience of 5 - 7 years is required. Home office experience is strongly desired (1 - 3 years) and previous leadership/management experience is highly desired. Ability to work effectively, collaborate and build alignment across a broad and complex matrix involving field and home office employees. Experience working with, influencing, and leading a matrix team to accomplish objectives. Ability to identify, implement and execute objectives that are aligned with business strategy. Experience analyzing and interpreting data. Knowledge of business planning and budgeting processes. Proven track record of providing strategic leadership, direct management and coaching is necessary. Proven ability to innovate and evolve skill sets across teams. Strong communication skills are essential.
