Aston Carter Senior Financial Analyst in Princeton, New Jersey

Overview

One of Aston Carter’s clients in the medical devices space is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the team during this crucial time. This role will play a key part in the current implementation project that is transpiring along with support the Finance Department in long term planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis

  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits

  • Prepare cost projections

  • Analyze and report on current financial status

  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data

  • Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities

  • Coordinate with the CFO (https://resources.workable.com/cfo-job-description) and the executive team on long-term financial planning

  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement

  • Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects)

  • Review accounting transactions for data accuracy

  • Establish financial policies

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting of Finance (relevant experience will work)

  • 3+ years of experience within financial analysis/FP&A

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas)

  • SAP s/4 Hana experience a major plus (SAP experience needed)

  • 3+ years experience with month end closings and financial reporting

  • Ability to multi task and work independently as needed

  • Experience working through a system implementation project a major plus

Additional Information

  • This role will operate fully in the office at the companies Mercer County location

  • The role projects to compensate in the range of $43-$46/hr

  • The role will operate under a 6 month contractual basis as of this moment
