WorkSource Oregon School Nurse in PRINEVILLE, Oregon
The school district nurse assists students, in cooperation with school personnel, community agencies and parents; to acquire health knowledge; to acquire attitudes conducive to healthful living; to meet their needs resulting from illness, accident, and physical defect; and to maintain, improve, or adapt to their individual health status. Reports to the Director of Special Education. In accordance with standards of school nursing practice, Oregon Department of Education and Oregon Nurse Practice Act implement appropriate use of the nursing process to plan and provide individualized nursing care in the school community, including nursing delegation and training for an anticipated emergency. Candidates must hold or be eligible for, valid Oregon RN License with appropriate endorsement and fulfill the registration requirements of the district, recognizing that failure to comply with will mean loss of pay and/or position. Background must include experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. Hold a valid first aid card.
