Physical Therapist/Outpatient
Fast-paced, high volume Outpatient department is looking for top skilled Physical Therapist. Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health Neighborhood Care and Wellness Prosper, 1970 W. University Drive, Prosper TX 75078
Work hours: Part-time, Day shift; 24 hours/week: Monday – Friday

Here’s What You Need
Bachelor's Degree, Completion of a Physical Therapy program, upon hire required
PT - Physical Therapist, Texas Physical Therapy License, upon hire required and
1 year of experience in outpatient setting preferred
Experience with hand and splinting strongly preferred
Experience treating outpatient orthopedic conditions strongly preferred
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, or willing to sit for the exam
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills
What You Will Do
Performs age appropriate patient treatment
Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment
Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license
Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safely
Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary
Determines patient response to treatment and evaluates progress (reassessment)
Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment
Maintains patient safety throughout treatment
Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues
Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
