For a full list of benefits please visit our Career page at https://www.treetop.com/careers/benefits/ DECANTER OPERATOR SUMMARY: To monitor and operate the food processing equipment such as milling, extracting, filters, and juice evaporators in a safe, sanitary and approved manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, procedures, safety rules, and good manufacturing practices. Operates and monitors multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously to conform to maintenance and quality standards. Identifies problems and initiates adjustments for efficient and optimal operation. Verifies connection of feed/discharge hoses and levels of feed/discharge tanks for proper product flow. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and associated piping and tanks. Conducts product quality checks in process and adjusting settings as needed. Documents all operating parameters and current set points. Calculates and records product flow data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly. Informs supervisor on a timely basis of all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. Communicates and coordinates with other process equipment operators to ensure efficient product flow. Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of product. Coordinates oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times. Ability to communicate in English; write routine correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions. Ability to work with cleaning chemicals. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
